Miahael Mulvany and Gary Carroll were on the mark at Dundalk this evening

Red all over at Dundalk for Mulvany and Carroll

Meath trainer Michael Mulvany got his first winner of 2021 this evening at Dundalk with his first runner of the year.

Gary Carroll completed a double when he partnered the Mulvany-trained Red Heel to victory in a handicap. Carroll was also on the mark for Tyrone trainer Andy Oliver.

Owned and bred by Aidan Archdeacon, Red Heel won by a head under a calm ride by Carroll.

"She has a good bit of ability, but hasn’t been showing it until now, hopefully now that she’s got her head in front she can go on from here,” commented trainer Mulvany to irishracing.com post-race.

The Edward Lynam-trained Masalai was second and the John McConnell-trained Tanseeq was third with a head and a neck separating the first three.

Racing returns to Dundalk on Friday evening at 4.15pm.
