Cash in transit robbery in Trim.

Gardaí in Trim investigating a robbery which occurred early this morning are appealing for witnesses.

At approximately 7.20am the driver of a cash security vehicle was confronted on the forecourt of Circle K, Navan Road, Trim. He was approached by a male wearing a large hi-viz jacket and forced to hand over a cash box. The suspect put the cash box into a large ‘Lidl’ bag. He then made his way directly across the main road into a field opposite the garage.

Detectives are appealing for anybody who has dashcam footage from the Trim-Navan Road, Rathnally Lane or other side roads in the area, anytime between 6.54am and 7.30am to contact them on 046-9481540. Information can also be given via the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666111.
