Ratoath hold champs Kiltale

Ratoath's late surge earned a 1-21 to 3-15 SHC fifth round draw with Kiltale at Pairc Tailteann this evening.

Padraig O'Hanrahan's late penalty goal was a crucial score for Ratoath in the second-half.

First-half goals from Cathal McCabe and a fortunate David Donoghue effort gave KIltale a 2-11 to 0-11 interval advantage.

Padraig O'Hanrahan was the main man for Ratoath with seven pointed frees while Gavin McGowan (two),Darragh Kelly and Sean O'Hanrahan also sent over.

Cathal McCabe and Jack Regan each claimed four points for Kiltale with a brace from Adan Murphy and one by James Kelly with a rasper that skimmed the top of the crossbar completing their tally. 

Regan added four points for KIltale in the second-half with Chris Reilly finding the net, but Ratoath never gave up and were rewarded with a morale-boosting draw against the champions.

Padraig O'Hanrahan added five points and converted a penalty goal with Sean O'Hanrahan claiming two points and one each from Darragh Kelly and Cian Rogers for Ratoath.
