City slicker lands Galway feature

Tony Martin landed a third Galway Hurdle in six years when the John Breslin-owned Tudor City stormed to victory
in the Thursday feature at Ballybrit this evening.

Partnered by Robbie Power in what was a race in which plenty had chances turning into the home straight.

Tudor City surged to the front after the last and won well from Due Reward and favourite Band Of Outlaws to scoop the  €177,000 pot for the winner.

For trainer Tony Martin it was a great success and follows up on wins with Quick Jack and Thomas Edison in 2015
and 2014 respectively.

Quick Jack was also owned by John Breslin who remarked before the race that Tudor City was due a win in a big race
after finishing second in a number of quality races on the flat.
