Boyne Valley take title against Teach na Teamhrach

Boyne Valley defeated Teach Na Teamhrach by 4-1 in last night's Navan & District Darts League final.

Following a great night of action the man of the match award went to Ian Kells

GAME ONE
Boyne won the toss and were first to throw and in game one it was Gary Faulkner v Sean Carry.
Gary took the first leg  with taking out double tops (40) with some high scoring in the game
Sean missed 103 but Gary took out tops to go two up and with more high scoring won 3-0.

GAME TWO
John Andrews took the first leg against John Tiernan with both players nervous.
John took the next with a lot of tons in that leg and won 3-0 with 58 checkout 

GAME THREE 
Ian Kell against Patrick Darby was high scoring from both but it was Ian that took the first leg taking out 64.
Patrick took out 32 to make it 1-1 but Ian took out 36 with 14 darts to go 2-1 up.
Ian then had some great darts taking out the mighty Skinner 3-1.

GAME FOUR
Brian Kelly v Mark Carolan saw Mark take the first leg with 65 checkout and doubled his lead taking out 66.
Mark pulled a game back for the Teach and reduced the Boyne lead to 3-1.

GAME FIVE
Curtis Harding went one up against Alan Mitchell in yet another good scoring game, but 
missed doubles from both as Curtis went two up.
Alan pulled a leg back with a 180 were Curtis missed double 18 to win the match.
Alan pulled it back to 2-2, but Curtis won the final for the Boyne valley in what was a game to remember for 
Curtis.

Navan & District Darts League PRO John McLoughlin praised the efforts of everyone involved in the competitions.

"Well done to the lads from Slane (John lane) and hard luck to Teach Na Teamhrach (Brendan Dowdall)," he said.

"Thanks to Shane McDonagh and Ambrose Curran for marking and checking the games and thanks to Enda and the staff from the Teach Na Teamhrach for hosting the final.

"It has been yet again another great year with some new teams and we hope to see everyone next year and as always 
new teams are welcome," he added.
