Death of former Dunsany NS principal, Seamus Conroy

The death has occurred suddenly at his home of Seamus Conroy, Iffernock, Trim, former principal of St Joseph's National School, Dunsany. Predeceased by his son Brendan, Seamus is much loved husband of Elizabeth and loving father of Noeline, Mary, Ciarán and John. Devoted grandfather of Fearghal, Aisling, Cian, Anna, Shane, Isabelle, Jack and James. Deeply regretted by his wife, sons, daughters, grandchildren, son-in-law Tomás, daughters-in-law Therese and Karen, extended family and friends.

He is reposing at Heffernan’s’ Funeral Home, High Street, Trim, C15 HDT1 on Friday from 5pm to 7.15pm followed by removal to St. Patrick's Church, Trim arriving at 8pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12 noon. Burial immediately afterwards in St. Loman’s Cemetery. House strictly private please.

Kilmessan-Dunsany parish is also mourning the untimely death of Julie Montague of Ringlestown, after a sudden short illness, at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda.

Formerly of Derrypatrick, Drumree, she is loving wife of Dominic, dear mother of Hazel, Rachel, Michelle, Michael and Ryan, and adored grandmother of Tyler, Lilly and Maeve. Deeply regretted by her loving family, sons-in-law, partners, mother-in-law, brothers and sisters Kevin, Anthony, Winnie, Eileen and Nuala, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, neighbours, work collegues and many many friends.

Granddaughter Maeve was the first baby born in Ireland on new year's day 2019, while Julie's mother-in-law, Alice, celebrated her 100th birthday last August.

Julie is reposing at her home (C15 A438) on Saturday from 1.30pm to 8pm. Funeral Mass on Sunday morning at 11am in the Church of The Nativity of The Blessed Virgin Mary, Kilmessan followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

The funeral took place in Dunsany yesterday of former postmaster there, Malachy Lynch, in a sad week for the parish.
