Michael Keaveny

A group of Meath men got more than they bargained for on a recent trip to New York when they came across singing sensation Hozier performing  in  the Big Apple.
Aidan Joyce, Paul Munnelly, Nicky Gunning (all Trim) and Brian Carolan (Rathmoloyn) were all visiting New York based Trim man Niall Flynn and  were eating in a restuarant near the Rockerfeller Centre  when one of the group saw that Hozier had started an Instagram live video somewhere in New York. Paul Munnelly a member of the group said " we saw he was performing on a subway and after about five minutes of research we saw it was right beside us. We went down to it and there was about 1,000 people at it. He performed a few songs and was getting pictures with everyone. He was very genuine".

" He just had a few member of his band with him," Paul said. "They just did a few songs and I went up to him just before they left and asked for a photo, he was very nice."
