Firefighters battle the blaze

Stretch limo saved from flames as blaze breaks out in Primatestown

Fire crews from around Meath attended the scene of a large fire at a furniture factory in Primatestown last night.
Crews from  Ashbourne Dunshaughlin & Navan attended the blaze which is believed to have broken out at around 9pm last night. Three appliances, two water tankers and an aerial platform contained the fire.

Meath Fire Service Twitter removed a stretc limousine from an adjacent building which was heavily smoke logged in the fire. "The fire service prevented the building becoming fully involved. It’s not every day you get to drive a stretched hummer in Breathing Apparatus!"

A number of properties adjacent to the building were evacuated to prevent the damage from spreading.
Crews were still at the scene this morning.
A spokesperson Meath Fire service said the cause of the fire is still unknown but the Gardai are still investigating it.  He also went on to say that the full extent of the damage is still unknown but a "considerable" amount of harm has been done to the building that caught fore and the surrounding premises.
