Silver and antiques in Usher auction

An Interesting collection of silver and antiques takes place in Oliver Usher’s Auction Rooms, John Street, Kells, on Monday next, 12th November at 5pm.
The sale includes an executor’s clearance from Oranmore, Co Galway, residual clearance from Kevit Castle, Crossdoney, Co Cavan and a house clearance from Dunlavin, Co Wicklow.
Around 50 lots of silver include a tray of 3,400 grams, a pair of Georgian candleabra, and a three-piece tea set. There are paintings by Graham Knuttell, Letitia Hamilton, McKelvey, Keefer, Skelton and Wilks.
Furniture includes Victorian ebony and ormolu credenza, a Georgian mahogany linen press, Georgian bureau bookcase, Georgian oval wine cooler, rosewood serving table, William IV double ended sofa, a pair of gilt and marble console tables on lion supports, Georgian mahogany chests of drawers, Gouldings advert wall clock, J Baxter Monaghan wall clock, grandfather clock,  dining tables, sets of chairs, Aynsley dinner service, Lladro and Hummel figures, and a retro home bar.  There are circa 600 lots.
Auction takes place on Monday 12th November at John Street, with viewing  on Friday from 10am -5pm, Saturday 12 noon – 5pm, Sunday 2pm -6pm and Day of Sale from 10 am.   Oliver Usher Kells. 046/9241097.
