Four from four in AIL for Navan

Navan RFC maintained their fine form today with a 20-17 win against Old Crescent in the AIL Div 2A today.

The victory makes it four wins out of four the Balreask Old club and it keeps them well-positioned to challenge for honours as they chase a third successive promotion in three seasons.

Conor Ryan claimed the opening try and that was followed by a second try soon after by Evan Dixon - neither were converted.

Leigh Jackson added a third try and Collie O'Reilly converted, but Old Crescent claimed tow late tries before the break to trail 12-17.

Brian Haugh was also sent to the sinbin.

Old Crescent got back on terms with an early second-half try (17-17) with a man advantage.

Collie O'Reilly slotted over a penalty in the closing stage for a 20-17 Navan lead as Old Crescent had a man sent to the sinbin.
