McCabe goal sends Kiltale on their way

Fearghal McCabe scored the only goal of the game as Kiltale defeated Dunboyne 1-19 to 0-14 in the SHC at Pairc Tailteann this evening. 

McCabe found the net after eight minutes when he got to the end of a long Stephen Donoghue drive to touch the ball to the net. 

Jack Regan showed the way for Kiltale with 12 points while Peter Durnin, Cathal McCabe, Shane Lenehan and James Kelly also contributed scores to the winners' tally. 

Kiltale led 1-11 to 0-5 at the interval but helped by a strong breeze Dunboyne came back strongly. However, Dunboyne were unable to make up the ground required. 

Sean Quigley topscored for Dunboyne with six points, five frees, with Neil Hackett hitting three from play with Stephen Moran, Sean McGrath, Ger Murphy and Michael O'Grady others to split the posts. 

However Kiltale were strong at the back and deservedly started the defence of their title with the win.
