Corcoran to face Netherlands in Euro quarter-final - live on RTE 2 Monday night

Jimmy Corcoran played another key role for the Republic of Ireland as they defeated  Bosnia & Herzegovina at St George’s Park by 2-0 on Friday eveing in the UEFA u-17 Championship.

Troy Parrott’s sensational free kick set Ireland on the way to a fantastic win with Adam Idah's late goal sealing Ireland’s place in the quarter finals.

It was another clean sheet for Jimmy Corcoran and it was an unbelievable achievement for him as he is still eligible for this age group next season.

Corcoran from Kells was part of the Republic of Ireland u-16s  team that won the Victory Shield for the second year in a row, after defeating Scotland 2-0 in Bangor at the end October last year.

He began playing under-age for Kells / Blackwater in the NECSL before moving to Cherry Orchard and he recently agreed terms with Preston North End and will join them in July.

The Republic of Ireland will take on Netherlands in Chesterfield on Monday evening at 7pm and the game will be screened live on RTE 2 television along with live streaming on UEFA.com.
