Corcoran features as Ireland win

Jimmy Corcoran featured between the posts yesterday as the Republic of Ireland defeated Denmark 1-0 and got their u-17 European Championship campaign back on track.

Corcoran is a former player at under-age level with Kells / Blackwater FC.

The Irish lads came flying out of the blocks and went ahead in just the fourth minute. Sean Brennan expertly switched the play to find Adam O’Reilly in space. O’Reilly found Troy Parrott out wide, the Tottenham Hotspur forward then cut inside and drove a right footed strike past Daniel Andersen in the Danish goal.

The win leaves the Republic of Ireland with all to play for as they head into a final group game on Friday against Bosnia & Herzegovina.
