The Michael Mulvany-trained On The Go Again

On The Go Again lands opening day feature at Naas

Meath trainer Michael Mulvany's decision not to send On The Go Again to Cheltenham paid dividends at Naas today on the opening day of the flat season.

The versatile On The Go Again landed the opening day feature when he was first past the post in the Tote Irish Lincolnshire with Gary Carroll on board.

For Carroll it was his second successive victory as he took the spoils last year on the Ger Lyons-trained Brendan Brackan.

On The Go Again is now after winning four in-a-row on the flat and there was also a win in the valuable Liam Healy Memorial Lartigue Hurdle at Listowel in September.

"We changed plans and kept him away from Cheltenham, we were ready for this race and we'd probably have to go up into a Group race," stated Mulvany who also indicated that the Galway Hurdle could be on the radar.
