Meath Style Awards 2018 Meet the Judges

The judging for this year's Meath Style Awards will begin on the 13th of March. We have five judges choosing our finalists this year. We have listed the names of each of the judges and what they are looking for.

Amy Harding – Navan Racecourse

I am delighted and honoured to once again be asked to be a judge for The Meath Style Awards. It is a great event that always generates excitement amongst the many fashion conscious in the Meath area. I am really looking forward to reviewing all the nominations and trying identify some of the unique aspects of each business that will lead to a deserving winner of this year’s Meath Style awards.

Louise Grimes – Picket Fence Boutique

For me as a judge I would be looking for exceptional customer relations and interaction as first impressions are very important. A strong presence on social media and good marketing are important. Store layout and design having a warm welcoming effect. As I’ve just opened the Boutique I wanted to entice customers in to my store and to feel Welcome and relaxed.

Martin Skelly – Navan Travel

I am particularly interested in the passion that owners and managers have for their businesses. This is critical to the success of the business and impacts on every aspect of customer contact.  Their unique and creative marketing ideas are such an integral part of our successful local businesses and frequently goes without mention.

Deirdre Stapleton – Specsavers

What I am looking for when I'm judging is passion.  Someone who cares about their business and puts everything they can into it to make it successful.  Someone that never settles for boing number two but also wants to be number one.  You may not have the biggest business or have huge marketing budgets but to do the best you can with the resources you have. It has to be about good customer service so I also will look at feedback from Facebook and other social media to show what the public and their customers really think. It can often look from the outside a business may be hugely successful and have a very strong presence but if they do not do the best for their customer it's worth nothing.

Our final judge is Yvonne Jackson from the Anglo Celt
