Water outages in Ratoath and Curraha

Due to the earlier power outage at the Staleen Water Treatment Plant there is a water outage impacting customers in  Ratoath (Fairyhouse Road, Jamestown, Skyrne Road, Curraha Road, Ballybin Road, Ashbourne Road) as well as surrounding areas including Curraha, Kilbrew, Sutherland Lane, Glascarn, Kilbride Road, Ennistown.

The power has been restored to the Staleen Water Treatment Plant but it is expected that a normal water supply won’t be restored to customers in the areas listed above until midday tomorrow. Irish Water and Meath and Louth County Councils are working to resolve the issue as quickly  as possible.

Irish Water says: "Due to the adverse weather conditions and the red alert in place we are unable to provide alternative water supplies to the area.

"Vulnerable customers should call our contact centre on 1850 278 278. We apologise to customers for the inconvenience caused and thank them for their patience while we work to restore supply. Our customer care helpline is open 24/7 on 1850 278 278 and updates will also be available on our website on www.water.ie and on Twitter @IWCare."
