Funeral arrangements for Dolores O'Riordan

Father James Walton, Parish Priest of Ballybricken & Bohermore, Co Limerick, in the Archdiocese of Cashel & Emly, has issued details of the funeral arrangements for the late Cranberries singer, Dolores O'Riordan. It will take place in the Church of Saint Ailbe, Ballybricken, at 11.30am on Tuesday 23rd January, followed by private family burial.

Chief Celebrant of the Requiem Mass will be Canon Liam McNamara, Associate Pastor (retired parish priest), who is a close friend of the O’Riordan family.  Chief concelebrants will be Father James Walton PP, Ballybricken & Bohermore, Archbishop Kieran O'Reilly, Archbishop of Cashel & Emly and Archbishop Dermot Clifford, Archbishop Emeritus of Cashel & Emly.

As the church has a limited capacity of only 200 places, attendance is strictly reserved for extended family and close friends.  The church yard covers a small area and is also private property.

A public address system will be set up to facilitate mourners and media in attendance.  As Saint Ailbe’s Church is on the bend of a narrow road, parking is very limited and priority will be given to members of the family, relatives and close friends.  Limerick FM Radio intend to broadcast the Mass live for its listeners.

Her remains will repose at Cross’s Funeral Home in Ballyneety, Co Limerick, on today, Monday 22 January, from 4pm followed by removal at 8pm to Saint Ailbe’s Church, Ballybricken. A public reposal took place on Sunday at Saint Joseph’s Church, O’Connell Avenue, Limerick.
