Meath feature in senior camogie draws for first time today

Meath will face All-Ireland senior champions Cork in their debut campaign at the top garde it emerged after the draws for the 2018 series took place today.

It's a game that could be billed as the clash of champions and Meath certainly won't be going into the tie with any thoughts of anything other than a win.

Last month Meath defeated Cork's second team in a replayed All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie final and that victory earned manager John Davis a nomination for the Camogie Association for the manager of the year accolade but he was eclipsed by Cork manager  Paudie Murray

Meath have been drawn in Group 2 along with last year's defeated semi-finalists Dublin, Offaly, Tipperary and Wexford.

Defeated 2017 All-Ireland finalists Kilkenny wave been drawn with last year's defeated semi-finalists Galway in Group 1 that sees Clare, Limerick and Waterford complete the line-up.

The first round of fixtures in the senior championship will take place on the weekend of 9th and 10th June, followed by the intermediate championship on 16th and 17th June with the premier junior championship starting on the weekend of 14th and 15th July.

Meath won the Premier Junior Title in 2012.
