Kiltale celebrate today's win over Kildalkey.

Double delight for Kiltale

It was a case of double delight Kiltale today as they added the A HL Div 1 crown to the SHC when they defeated Kildalkey 1-15 to 0-10 at Dunganny today.

The reigning champions had to work hard to grapple with a determined Kildalkey side especially early on but they made a decisive intervention in the lead up to half-time when Peter Durnin got in for a goal.

At the break Kiltale led 1-5 to 0-7 and with the help of a strong breeze they took a firm grip on proccedings in the second-half with captain Jack Regan showing unerring accuracy from frees. Regan ended up with six points, five frees, one '65' while James Kelly and Cathal McCabe also tagged on two apiece for the winners to also help them on their way. Anthony Forde, Padraig Kelly, Durnin, Adam Murphy and Cillian O'Sullivan also pointed.

Conor Kearney popped over a number of booming efforts for Kildalkey while the excellent Enda Keogh and Patrick Conneely also fired over two apiece from play with Evan Fitzgerald and Gary Kelly others to point but the Village side were unable to find the goal they so badly needed. Instead Kiltale marched on to victory to complete the double.
