Funding boost for Meath town and villages
Fifteen projects in Meath have received funding totalling €905,546 under the 2017 Town and Village Renewal Scheme announced yesterday.
Three projects received funding of €100,000 each- Nobber Village Amenity Park, Kells Cultural Quarter and Athboy Community Centre. Plans for a playground in Ballivor received a major boost with a €90,000 allocation, while Lobinstown received €32,000 towards playground enhancement.
Funding for village enchancement works have been allocated as follows: Ballinacree €29,200, Dromone €72,000, Drumconrath €42,000 and Kilbride (Clonee) €21,760 including the entrance to the old school house.
Other projects to benefit include; Bellewstown Vista (€29,600), Duleek Heritage Trail (€22,000), Julianstown Bridge (€40,000); Moynalty Walkway (€60,000); Oldcastle Walkway Improvements (€78,986); Carlanstown footpaths €88,000.
