Meath players in their huddle before today's game with Kildare.

Meath find form to defeat Lilywhites

Meath produced a highly impressive second-half performance to defeat Kildare 1-12 to 1-10  in the All-Ireland Intermediate Camogie semi-final at Ashbourne today.

It didn't look too promising at the break for Meath because after a lacklustre opening half the sides were level 1-5 to 0-8. Kristina Troy scored an early goal for the home side but after that all the momentum was with the Lilywhites who looked confident and assured.

However Meath were much more menacing in the second-half winning a lot of ball with Aoife Minogue firing over three crucial points from frees and a '45' to help her team across the line.

Megan Thynne, Amy Gaffney, Kristina Troy and Caroline Quinn also hit over points in the second-half with Meath conceding the concession of a late goal scored by Kildare's Melissa Lyons.

The Meath goal was scored in the opening minutes with a Troy effort from distance ending up in the back of the net. Now a place in the All-Ireland final beckons.
