Win a week in south of France at Bohermeen race

Bohermeen AC will host the 32nd Patrick Bell and Nicky Phillips Memorial 5k Run and Walk on Saturday 10th June, 7.30pm.

This year the event will break new ground as the club has forged links with its largest ever international connection with a group of 30 French athletes set to take part.

Next Saturday evening’s event will commemmorate the late Patrick Bell and also the late Nicky Phillips who was a noted athlete of the 1930s and also a mentor to many juvenile athletes in the 1970s.

Over the past 30 years the races have become one of the most welcoming events on the athletic calendar, with no boundaries as it is open to everyone from the Olympic contenders to fun runners alike.

Everyone in the parish and all the local school children are invited to walk the 5k and anyone who takes part will be entered into a draw to win a week in the south of France for four people, excluding July and August.

John Hogan of Hogan Kitchens (Beechmount Retail Park) is once again the main sponsor.

Entries are open online at www.myrunresults till 12am on Friday 9th June for €15 or on the day from 3pm costing €20.

Those walking may enter on the day or Friday evening from 7pm. Walking entry fees are €10 for adults and family walking rate is €20.

The Meath Chronicle will have Facebook live updates from the start and the finish on Saturday.
