Hugh O'Sullivan in rugby action

Meath's three musketeers

Hugh O'Sullivan from Moynalvey has been named on the Ireland under-19 squad for two games against France in Bordeaux on Tuesday 11th April and Sunday 16th April.

It continues a great run of form for three O'Sullivan brothers Hugh, Mark and Cillian who play rugby, football and hurling at the highest level.

Hugh helped Belvedere College to victory in the Leinster Schools Senior Cup at the RDS with a 10-3 victory against Blackrock College on St Patrick's Day and followed that with an appearance for Ireland in a u-19 game against Japan a week later.

This weekend Hugh will be part of a 26-strong squad heading for France with the Ireland u-19 squad with head coach Kieran Campbell and assistants Hugh Hogan and Ambrose Conboy and manager Barney McGonigle.

Cillian helped Meath to victory with a two-goal salvo against Clare last Sunday in the NFL Div 2B and will now be turning his attention to some club activity with Moynalvey footballers ahead of the Leinster SFC with Meath next June against Wicklow or Louth.

Mark scored three goals for Meath in Saturday's NHL Div 2B final against Wicklow at Parnell Park as the Royal County sealed promotion and now turn their focus to a return to the Leinster SHC with a first round tie against Kerry at Pairc Tailteann later this month.
