Suspicious approach to two teenage girls investigated

Gardai are investigating a report of the alleged attempted abduction of two teenage girls in Navan last night.

A mother took to facebook to warn other parents about the alleged attempted abduction of the two girls in their estate at around 8.30pm last night.

She posted that a man got out of a car shouting 'get into the f**king car', the girls ran and he chased them. They kept running until they got home.

'Mind your kids people. This could have been a very different outcome,' the mother wrote.

Navan Gardai have confirmed they are investigating the suspicious approach which occured in Balreask Manor, Trim Road, Navan.

According to Gardai, the car was described as dark coloured and they have no better description. There was one young male in the car, who allegedly got out and shouted at the girls to get into the car and allegedly followed them for a distance.

Gardai are appealing for anyone who was in the estate at around 8.30pm who has any information on the incident to contact Navan Garda Station on (046) 9079930.
