Meath team for u-21 v Westmeath tonight

Following their victory in the final of the Hastings Cup last month against Longford at Abbeylara, the Meath team go into action tonight in the Leinster u-21 FC with a tough assignment against Westmeath in the first round.

The game will be played at St Loman's in Mullingar and the prize is a quarter-final ticket and a trip to Parnell Park next Wednesday night to face Dublin.

Meath manager Barry Callaghan can approach tonight's test with some degree of optimism and he has selected a strong starting 15 that features Sean Noonan from Seneschalstown at midfield and players of the calibre of Conor Moriarty and David McLoughlin in the forward line.
