Hurling update - quarter-finalists known

After this weekend's action the Meath club hurling championships have progressed to the knock-out phase with Kilmessan missing out on qualification after they lost today's game against Trim at Navan O'Mahonys.

Dunboyne advanced with a good win against Dunderry tonight at Dunganny.

Kildalkey survived a scare against Longwood in Trim this morning to seciue their place although they trailed by a point (0-14 to 1-12) with five minutes remaining after Longwood's Anthony Healy converted a penalty (see video clip).

The results and quarter-finals in the SHC and IHC are listed below.

Some players who are members of the Meath u-21 team were in action this weekend and some will be in action in the two JFC quarter-finals that are scheduled for this Wednesday night.
