Shooting incident in Stamullen

Gardaí are investigating a serious incident where a shot was fired through the front door of a house in Stamullen overnight.

At 00.50am a shot was fired through the front door of a house at Mill Close. The house was occupied at the time. Fortunately none of the occupants of the house were injured .

The scene has been technically examined. Anybody who saw any suspicious or unusual activity in the area in the early hours of this morning is asked to contact Laytown Garda Station (041) 9813320 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666-111.
