Thomas Byrne (Fianna Fail)

Thomas Byrne describes himself as a young, energetic and tireless representative for the people of Meath East. He is 38 years of age, married Ann, and they have three children, so he is fully aware of the pressures and difficulties facing young families.
He believes he has the experience, commitment and passion to be a Dáil deputy and has been a front runner in many of the key national and local issues that affect the people of Meath East.
Senator Byrne has used his practical expertise as an internationally qualified solicitor to write legislation that benefits some of the most vulnerable in communities, whether it be the removal of the bank veto or introducing legislation that assists small businesses in securing pubic contracts.
He says he has used his time in the Seanad to stand up for families and communities across the constituency and is committed to putting families and fairness back on the agenda. If elected, he is committed to representing the people of his constituency over any special interests, believing in the core principal of 'An Ireland for all’, where families can thrive not just survive.
