Triumph target for Jer's Girl

The Gavin Cromwell-trained Jer's Girl may go to Cheltenham for the JCB Triumph Hurdle of Friday 18th March.

Jer's Girl won a listed juvenile hurdle at Aintree in December and kept her unbeaten record over hurdles with a 10-length victory in the Betfred Remembers Howard Kendall Fillies Juvenile Hurdle.

Two runs on the flat at Sligo and Navan were followed by a debut win over the minor obstacles at Limerick with Meath jockey Ger Fox on board at the beginning of November.

She then finished second in the Knight Frank Hurdle at Leopardstown at Christmas beaten a head by the Willie Mullins-trained Apple's Jade.

Two weeks ago the filly was well in contention in a Grade 1 hurlde at the same track before fading from the last to finish fifth to Footpad which is also in the same race at Cheltenham next month.
