Roscommon v Meath today is postponed

The match between Roscommon and Meath in aid of Hospice scheduled for today (Tuesday) in Kiltoom at 6.30 pm has been postponed due to the imminent arrival of Storm Frank which is forecast to arrive later in the day.

Roscommon will now play Meath in Kiltoom on New Year’s Eve, Thursday 31st December at 12 noon - weather permitting.

Speaking on Monday night following the decision, the Roscommons team management apologised for the short notice, however they said that player and spectator safety must come first.

There will be plenty of choice for Meath GAA fans over this coming weekend with the u-21 footballers due to play in the Hastings Cup against cavan on Saturday at Dunganny.

The senior footballers will play Carlow in the O'Byrne Cup (away) on Sunday while the hurlers will also play Carlow (home) on Sunday in the Walsh Cup.
