Delaney cup back in summerhill

Summerhill won the MFC Delaney Cup at Páirc Tailteann this evening when they proved too resourceful for a battling Skryne side to take the silverware with a five-point winning margin (1-14 to 1-9).

The five-point winning margin was a fair reflection of the difference between the teams although Summerhill should have won by a bigger margin.

Summerhill piked off the points with ease as they established a 1-10 to 1-3 interval advantage.

Cathal Ryan sent over two points from play and two frees while Eoghan Crowe and Dermot McCabe each managed a brace with Conor Frayne and Ross Ryan completing the tally.

Ronan Ryan found the net in the 23rd minute.

Summerhill were always able to find a little bit extra in the second-half and were wrthy winners by the time referee Cormac Reilly sounded the final whistle.
