Action from today's Brendan Davis Cup final

Brendan davis cup for kiltale

Kiltale fine-tuned their preparations for the Leinster Club IHC campaign with a fluent 3-22 to 2-16 win this morning over Dunboyne in the final of the Brendan Davis Cup at Kildalkey.

Hurling chairman TJ Reilly presented the trophy, the second time in a week, to Kiltale captain Anthony Donnelly and wished them well in the provincial competition next Sunday against the Wexford champions Naomh Eanna (Gorey).

Today in Kildalkey the Dunboyne men were ahead by 1-9 to 0-8 at the interval, but Kiltale introduced Cathal McCabe, Jack Regan and Peter Durnin for the second-half and that turned the tide in favour of the recently-crowned Jubilee Cup champions.

Durnin (2-3) and Regan (1-8) picked off crucial scores and although Dunboyne battled with great determination they were edged out by a stronger team.
