Davy cahill to guide cortown

Cortown GAA club officials have sanctioned the appointment of Davy Cahill to the role of manager for 2016 following their success in the 2014 JFC decider when they defeated Dunboyne in a replay with Conn Cleary and John Henry at the helm.

This year saw Cortown consolidate their position in the IFC, but it was a disappointing campaign that saw them win just once on the opening day with a 3-10 to 1-9 victory over Clann na nGael who were eventually relegated.

'Cortown are absolutely delighted to announce Davy Cahill as first team manager for 2016. Davy is a man who possesses vast experience and has an excellent track record particularly in the Intermediate Championship,' commented club PRO David Rsipin.

Davy Cahill was the manager of Bective in the JFC in 2014 and he guided them to a Tailteann Cup final success against St Brigid's.
