Junior c title for dunboyne
Dunboyne crusied to victory in the Junior c Fc final this afternoon at Pairc Tailteann where they rpoved too strong for Rathkenny and won by 12 points on a 1-14 to 0-5 scoreline.
Rathkenny gave a battling first-half performance and stayed in touch only trailing by 0-3 to 0-6 at the interval.
However, Dunboyne upped the tempo in the second-half and when Gavin Prior finished to the net from Conor Gilmartin centre there was only going to be one winner after that.
Rathkenny had a chance to make a game of it when they werea warded a pnelaty but Conor McGrath saved SDarren Barron's shot (see video clip of save).
That was with 15 minutes remaining and it was all Dunboyne for the remainder.
Co Board vice-chairman Peter O'Halloran presented the Mattie Gilsenan Cup to the joint-captains.
