Meath's Stephen Crosby in action against Carlow.

Wee county next up for meath junior footballers

The Meath junior footballers now turn their attention to taking on Louth on Wednesday 10th June in their quest for glory in the Leinster JFC.

Sean Barry's side comfortably marched to a 3-19 to 0-8 victory over Carlow at Ratoath last night to earn their sem-final joust with the Wee County.

The game was as good as over at the interval when Meath led 3-10 to 0-6 with Kevin Ross, Ciaran Kelly and Ciaran Lynch finding the net.

Kelly, who was in impressive form, marched through the porous Carlow defence for a fourth goal early in the second-half.

After that it was all one-way traffic as Carlow struggled to deal with the pace of the Meath attack.

Eleven Meath players fired over points with Ballinabackey's Danny Quinn showing the way in that reward with three.
