Meath players in irish u19 squad

Jamie McGrath from Athboy and Ashbourne's Kevin Toner have been included in the the Irish squad for the UEFA u-19 Championships Elite Qualifyhing games starting against the Czech Republic in Mannheim tomorrow, 4pm.
McGrath, who was recently nominated for an FAI schools award , is on a sports scholarship at Maynooth University where he is also studying business.
The young Athboy player is also a regular member of the St Patrick’s Athleitc League of Ireland squad and will be looking to nail down a regular place with the Inchicore club this season.

McGrath played for the Irish Schools team and scored a memorable goal against England at Ashton Gate last year. 


He's now in line to earn further international honours with the Irish u-19s at Mannheim tomorrow.

Toner, who is on the books at Aston Villa, will also look to add to his international experience. He was included in the Irish squad for two iu-19 nternationals against Sweden last October. 

The Republic of Ireland are also due to meet Germany in Sandhausen on Saturday, 11am Irish and against Slovakia on Tuesday at Mannheim, also at 11am Irish time.
