Meath win well in letterkenny

Meath took the NHL Div 2b points home from Letterkenny this afternoon when they proved too strong for the hosts Donegal at windswept O'Donnell Park and won by 2-15 to 1-4.

Meath were ahead by 1-6 to 1-1 at the interval with Alan Douglas finding the net in the 17th minute, but Donegal scored a kicked goal close to the interval through Ronan McDermott.

The second-half was dominated by Meath and by the three-quarter stage they had eased into a 2-11 to 1-2 advantage with Gary Kelly finishing to the net and Michael Dunne scoring a couple of good points from play (see video clip of one).

The pattern remained for the final quarter as the Meath players eased to victory.
