Smms stages avenue q this week

Tuesday night, 23rd September, sees the opening of St Mary’s Musical Society’s production of ‘Avenue Q’, winner of the Tony ‘triple crown’ for best musical, best score and best book awards, at the Solstice Arts Centre and Theatre, Navan.

Avenue Q is the irresistibly charming musical about the lovably hopeless characters on a downtown New York street trying to make sense of life’s burning issues: love, work, relationships and, above all, how are you supposed to pay the bills with a BA in English?
Hilarious and uproariously entertaining, with a terrific batch of songs performed by a cast of hugely talented performers and puppets, Avenue Q is the musical like no other.
This production is presented by arrangement with Josef Weinberger Ltd, on behalf of Music Theatre International of New York, and is suitable for audiences of 14 years of age and over.
It runs in Navan until 27th September. Tickets are €16, and group discounts available. Booking is on (046) 909 2300 or www.solstice.ie
