Troopers set to storm Electric Picnic
Exciting Trim DJ Johnny Pluse and his Stormtroopers of Love have released a hugely popular video for new single ‘135 Rinka’ ahead of a hugely anticpated appwarance at Electric Picnic in Stadbally at the end of August.
Pluse descibed the video for the new single as “a mental musical journey thorough ska, breaks and a bit of good auld rave”. The video is a Bulabeats production directed by Adian Farrelly and produced by Bad Apple Films.
After dropping 24 EPs and five albums, Bulabeats records boss man Pluse decided it was about time he put a live show together showcasing his trademark party rocking hip-hop and funk, and so Johnny Pluse & The Storm Troopers of Love was born.
A live fusion of hip-hop/funk/dancehall and ska Pluse has crafted this live show with the feel of a live band with an eye placed on the dancefloor .
The storm troopers are Johnny Pluse (noise/keys/efx), John Lynch (drums) and DJ D.O.G (turntablism /vocals).
The Meath men have already got two EPs ( with a third on the way in August) out on bulabeats records and have been busy with party rockin performances at this year’s Life festival and Body & Soul festival and a debut album scheduled for 2015.
