Cortown win well at Kilmessan

Cortown secured a place in the knock-out phase of the JFC with a 2-12 to 0-5 victory over Kilbride at Kilmessan last where David Rispin was the star of the show with five fine points from play and a sixth from a free.

Kilbride conceded two first-half penalties that were bioth converted by Ryan O'Rourke as Cortown established a 2-6 to 0-3 interval advantge.

Dunsany caused a bit of a surprise last night when they earned a draw with Dunboyne for their first point of the campaign  - it ended Dunsany 2-5, Dunboyne 1-8.
