Reilly injury not too serious

Meath captain Kevin Reilly limped out of the Leinster SFC semi-final against Kildare today with about seven minutes remaining and immediately supporters were concerned about his prospects for the Leinster decider.

However, the Navan O'Mahonys clubman was interviewed after the final whistle by RTE's pitchside reporter Joanne Cantwell and confirmed that it wasn't a serious matter.

That will be good news for Meath supporters who are now expected to travel to Croke Park next month in larger numbers than today in the hope of witnessing a memorable victory for Mick O'Dowd and his men.

Standing in the way are Dublin who steamrolled Wexford this afternoon by more than double scores as they won by 2-25 to 1-12.

Supporters will also be optimistic that Mickey Newman will be available for the decider after the Kilmainham man missed today's game through injury.
