Meath host Wicklow at Ashbourne

Meath's preparations for the forthcoming Leinster u-21 FC campaign will begin in earnest this weekend when the Royal County host Wicklow in a Hastings Cup game at Ashbourne on Saturday, throw-in 2pm.

This will be the first game in this year's competition for Sean Barry's side and a week later they will host Leitrim in the second game in the competition, this time the venue will be Millbrook outside Oldcastle with a 2pm throw-in.

Meath will conclude their group with a game against Tipperary on 18th January.

The top team from each group along with the best second-placed team will qualify for the semi-finals while the other two group runners-up will contest the Hastings Shield Field. 

Barry will be preparing for the Leinster u-21 FC quarter-final tie against Louth that's scheduled for Wednesday 2nd March next at an away venue – the Louth venue is not confirmed yet.
