Feis Cup final win for O'Mahonys

Navan O’Mahonys completed a double when they added the Feis Cup to the A FL Div 1 title with a 2-12 to 1-11 victory over Na Fianna in the decider today at Pairc Tailteann.

Mark Brennan once again produced some smart saves some of his saves against a Na Fianna side that has established a reputation for scoring lots of goals while Kevin Reilly was also hugely influential.

O'Mahonys were ahead by 1-7 to 0-5 at the interval with Shane Gillespie finding the net, but they were slow to get going again in the second-half as na Fianna cut the deficit to two points.

Stephen Bray's goal revived O'Mahonys and they finished strongly for a merited victory.

O'Mahonys only lost game and that was the SFC quarter-final to Summerhill.

This victory will boost them ahead of the resumption of club games next February when they will be aiming to take the Keegan Cup back to Navan.
