Correction - Meath to face DIT in O'Byrne Cup opener

Meath will begin their 2014 bid for honours with an O’Byrne Cup opener against DIT in Navan on Sunday 5th January.

 

Meath will also face a home test against the students of IT Carlow on Wednesday 8th January before travelling to Aughrim to take on Wickow Sunday 12th January.

Meath have faced Wicklow on several occasions over the last couple of years including NFL Div 3 and Leinster SFC victories over the Garden county earlier this year.

Eleven counties and five third level colleges will be involved in the round-robin series, with the respective winners of each group progressing to the semi-finals.

 

The groups are: A - Wexford, Laois, Offaly, UCD or TCD; B - Carlow, Longford, Kildare, Athlone IT; C - Wicklow, Meath, DIT, IT Carlow; D - Dublin, Westmeath, Louth, DCU.
