Pope ready for Kells visit

Brent Pope and Liam Sheedy will host a question and answer session at the the inaugural Kells Sports and Community Expo at the Headfort Arms Hotel on Wednesday 20th November next from 3.0 - 8.0.

The Expo is part of a number of initiatives that will start this week and continue into December.

All the events are championed by Kells & District Chamber in association with Meath Co Council with support from Bank of Ireland as part of an initiative titled 'Enterprise Town.’

New Zealander Pope, a current RTE pundit will take the second Q&A session with former Tipperary hurling manager Liam Sheedy tackling the questions in the opening half of the session from about 5.30.

The event will provide all the well-known and more successful clubs in the Kells area an opportunity to showcase their wares and, from a GAA perspective, it will enable the three clubs in the parish, Gaeil Colmcille, Drumbaragh and Kilmainham the opportunity for some promotional activities.

Apart from the GAA clubs, local soccer clubs like Kells Celtic, one of the longest-established clubs in Meath, Kells/Blackwater and Fordrew Rovers are expected to be involved.

North Meath RFC will fly the rugby flag while Kells Tennis Club, Kells Handball Club, Kells Swimming Club and Headfort Golf Club are also likely to be represented along with many other sporting and social organisations.
Admission to the Expo will be free.
