River search for missing man

Update: The missing man has been located safe and well.

The Irish Coast Guard’s search and rescue helicopter carried out a search of the River Boyne in Navan this afternoon after Gardai received a report of a missing person.
A 44-year-old man from the town left his home around 7am this morning. His family became concerned after he failed to return and notified Gardai.
A crew from the Irish Coastguard spent an hour searching the Boyne in Navan from about 3pm today. Meath River Rescue volunteers have two boats carrying out searches along the river and Meath Civil Defence is also involved in the search. It is understood that there have been no sightings as yet of the missing man.
