Enjoy the great outdoors and learn through nature at Rock Farm Slane

Rock Farm Slane offers unique outdoor hospitality experience

A ground breaking newcomer to luxury outdoor hospitality Hare's Leap at Rock Farm Slane is now open for business.  The luxurious boutique campsite situated on the historic Slane Castle Estate encapsulates a unique partnership between Alex and Carina Mount Charles, founders of Rock Farm Slane - a new eco-tourism destination and LPM Bohemia Ireland Ltd, designer and manufacturer of magnificent bespoke tents for high end events, weddings and festivals.

Just 45 minutes by car from central Dublin, and less than an hour and a half from Belfast the easily accessible destination will satisfy any city slicker seeking a little refuge in nature. With a hill top view of the historic Slane Castle, on the banks of the Boyne, Hare's Leap offers couples, families and friends accommodation within a selection of bespoke luxury yurts and Shepherd’s Huts situated throughout the enchanted grove. Whisked away from ‘package holidays’ and taken back to adventure, visitors will enjoy starry night skies, wood fires, balcony breaks, birdsong for breakfast whilst maintaining the most important of luxuries - a good bed and a hot shower!  Enjoy wild water adventures, walking trails and a host of expeditions throughout one of Ireland’s most historical and majestic landscapes.

People love camping and experiencing nature, but also love the luxury of the indoors, and Hare’s Leap, Rock Farm Slane offers guests a truly unique experience.   Our luxurious boutique camp-site is naturally situated within a magical grove and set within an enchanted landscape offering the perfect destination for anyone looking for a unique getaway.  Guests can relax on-site and then head off on an adventure by taking their pick from a wealth of activities at hand to ensure a truly memorable break.  We are delighted to be ‘open for business’ and to welcoming guests into our new home,' said Carina Mount Charles.

The beds within each of the timeless nomadic dwellings are made up with crisp, fresh linen and down and wool pillows.   Guests can relax after a day’s exploration with piping hot showers from a wood stove, luxurious natural soaps as well as a stylish and communal area decorated in natural tones where you can taste local produce, cook on the BBQ and relax in style. Children can become adventurers and explore, learn and invent through nature (as recommended by bestselling author Richard Louv ‘Last Child in the Woods’).

Hare’s Leap also caters for the perfect private party and is the ideal wedding venue for brides seeking something completely unique.  Beautifully designed and handmade marquee tents for ‘any’ occasion are available from the resident and highly renowned marquee company LPM Bohemia through Charles Preston, who have provided all the yurts throughout the development and for some of the most prestigious festivals and events in Ireland.

Turn off the Dublin/Derry road (N2) at the historic Slane Bridge and enter a track to take you through swaying fields of whiskey-bound barley, up the hill, along the valley and into the undulating wild meadow and hidden grove of Ireland’s newest boutique camp-site.  A 2 night stay for 2 adults costs €240. Single and multiple nights are available on request, along with discounts for families.  Rock Farm Slane is currently taking bookings for month of August through to November.
