Longwood secure another victory

Longwood secured a place in the knock-out phase of the SHC when they defeated Killyon 0-16 to 0-9 at Kildalkey this evening.

Nick Weir's side led almost all the way in this local derby and at the break they were in front by 0-6 to 0-5 despite facing the breeze.

Anthony Healy showed the way for the winners with eight points, five frees, one '65' while Karl Ennis next in line with three points from play.

Killyon produced a decent opening half but fell away following the break. Keith Keoghan was their topscorer with three from frees.

Killyon also wasted a number of good scoring opportunities shooting 14 wides and that was always likely to prove costley.
