TV show seeks Kells participants

A new RTE television programme is looking for participants in Kells.
‘The Give or Take Club’ is a show featuring consumer champion Eddie Hobbs and an information meeting will take place on Thursday night, 1st August, at 7pm in the Kells Family Resource Centre at Lord Edward Street.
The show will bring together a group of people from the same area to form a Give or Take Club for one month. Everyone must be prepared to Give a Wish, or Take a Wish. Everyone will make a ‘Wish List’, writing down things they want or need – small and big: a holiday, a better car, a job share, a makeover, respite care, one night out a week.
Everyone lists their assets: goods, time, money, skills. This is the Give Or Take List. Acting together, the club can realise some, but not all, of their list.
Leading financial expert Eddie Hobbs will use all his financial know-how and negotiating skills to help the community uncover the hidden assets, resources and skills to achieve as much of the list as possible. He’ll set out to pair wants and needs with available assets.
The programme makers are looking for people from the same area to take part.
People can sign up on their own, with a partner or friends, or as a group or household.
Those 18 or over and interested in taking part or would like more information can go along to the meeting on Thursday night or contact giveortake@indiepics.ie or call (01) 708 8192.
