East Meath soccer camp a success

East Meath United FC were one of the first FAI Summer Soccer camp locations in Ireland to completely sell out and hosted a fantastic week for the 105 boys and girls who attended.

The East Meath committee members were on hand to provide extra water during the hot spell and on Friday provided a selection of fruit for everyone, including watermelon, bananas, apples and oranges.

The big surprise was Rua the official Ireland mascot who turned up to present certificates.

East Meath will host a Family Fun Day this coming Saturday in Minnistown from 2pm-5pm. A range of activities will be provided.

There will be free entry for all, bouncy castles, face painting, penalty shoot-out, five-a-side tournament and lots of races all free on the day.

East Meath officials also organised a fantastic prize to raffle on Bank Holiday Monday 5th August.

Two mascot places for the sold-out upcoming Dublin Decider - Liverpool v Celtic.

Two lucky children (aged 6-10) will have the experience of leading out the teams at the match, and will be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
